Yes, but don’t the supporting documents that moved them to change it to manslaughter imply he was effectively in a sort of military Stockholm Syndrome effect from his commanders?

Accepting that as true I find it hard to really decide how I feel. I mean it does seem likely that diminished responsibility is involved but that said, I would to know if those commanding officers involved in setting this situation have been taken to account?

I imagine it’s a backwards view, though. They probably had loads of intel about lots of possible threats but then someone has to work out what is credible and likely?

Yeah I meant more the idea that some high up sorts knew exactly what was going to happen, and that it was going to happen that day etc. rather than generally knowing that Bin Laden was planning some sort of attack or that an attack with planes was planned
