I knew a chap called Leonard. We’re not friends with him anymore. As much as i like the name it now has bad connotations for me.

Incorrect.

One of my dogs is called Bertie. He was called something else when we got him (something horrifically inappropriate and racist), so we changed it to the closest sounding actual name.

I seem to remember an article that was doing the rounds a while ago about how there were no Gary’s born in the UK in 2016 (or something). Can’t find it now, but did find this:

Gary, Maurice, Norman, Ronald and others are heading towards extinction. We need to act fast.
