I went to school with a kid who’s Dad owned a penny-farthing. He brought it in once when we were studying the Victorians. We were all made to stand in the playground and watch him ride around on it whilst dressed in old-timey clothes

seems… rather impractical

I’ve still got one of them CD player things from the 90s

I may be misremembering some of the details of this, but I lived in a small village growing up and one of the families in the village was known for their collection of vintage bicycles, including penny farthings / boneshakers etc. I think the dad was occasionally on TV and stuff showing them off. But we did a similar thing to you, he bought them into school and I got to sit on it while he pushed it across the playground. His younger daughter also babysat for me and my brothers once, but she was really quiet and boring so she didn’t come back.

Is this what all the extra members of Public Enemy are for? To put Flavor Flav back on top of his comedy bicycle at the end of their gigs for his ride home

Purchased a cassette based 4 track recording machine on Wednesday
