Yeah a proper WTAF ending of S1. Dead Loch is a lot better by leaning into being a comedy (among other things).
All the things you mention as issues are hallmarks of Chibnall sadly. And yet the actors love to work with him. Baffling to me. The guy made a complete mess of Doctor Who that’s for sure.

Watching Selfie, sitcom with Karen Gillan and milf guy 2 from American pie. But weird as it’s about a social media addicted influencer type but was made in 2014. Don’t remember 2014 being like that

Why isn’t Scott McNairy in, like, everything? He was brilliant in H&CF. I think I’ve only seen him play a minuscule part in that Dylan biopic in the last few years.

He’s got a sizeable role in Furious which is one of my favourite new series of the year and he’s very good in it too.

Came here to day the same. He’s absolutely cracking in it (as are the other main players).
Only a year or so old but just finished watching Task. Another fine addition to the Mark Ruffalo Investigates Cinematic Universe.
Absolute sucker for Ruffalo investigating stuff.
Also clocked Grasso was leaking info, Imean his name is literally Grass for crying out loud!

I’m basically Michael Owen. Everyone calls him boring. I knew I was the most boring man in the world. I am Michael Owen. Saw him recently saying he doesn’t tell his kids he loves them and completely agreed with him… totally got where he was coming from. I am him. The world’s most boring cunt.

Finally round to watching We Own This City. Odd seeing Jamie Hector in something so similar to the wire playing such a different character. Perfectly cast beard on the main guy makes him incredibly dislikeable
