He’s in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs as well! Not bad going

She was so infuriating as fleabag’s evil stepmum that i can’t watch anything with her in it now. If i heard her in an ad I’d probably turn off the tv (i wouldn’t turn off the tv but i would feel annoyed until she stopped talking)

I would say that I’m sure she’s perfectly nice in reality when she’s not being an evil stepmum, but I have a suspicion that it’s like ricky gervais playing a dickhead in the office then turning out actually to be that dickhead in reality, and the evil stepmum character is just her true self.

That one for The Queen was a bit much.

Hahaha. She’s been in other good stuff too though. Think she’s got proper Acting Smarts.

rich people love getting richer

most annoying advert celeb is still kevin bacon, not sure anyone even finds him a likeable screen presence in the first place

Get a big Tory vibe from her you know

Maybe it’s a Peep Show thing, I’m convinced all the actors are absolutely awful IRL except Dobby, Johnson and Super Hans.

Heard that Kevin Bacon was heavily invested with Bernie Madoff and lost it all, hence his flurry of ad work

Also Tremors was ace

Imagine being paid to just get a cab to a recording studio in your pyjamas and read three lines off a piece of paper. Absolute scenes if you can get it, nappy ad or not.

nah owen wilson

i think i just played my own heartstrings

Heard him on a podcast (think it was Adam Buxton) and remember he was pretty dismissive of the ads and the whole cruises thing

Idris Elba fucking loves box sets

It’s amazing how unconvincing it’s possible to look just turning on a telly.
