They have been at each release, haven’t they?

think i gave on after no. 12. you win omar, you have finally exhausted me.

I think it’s too many albums.

you might be right

Put that might out of sight; I am right.

in competition with Buckethead,

Think I only ever heard the first 7. I bought the 4th one (?), though. I really enjoy that.

Has anyone kept up with this? He’s still going. It’s just too many albums.

Gave up after about two.

Gave up after about 7

Just listened to the preorder track for the new one. Dreadful.

Are any of these worth it? Can’t imagine there’s been much quality control if he’s firing out an album every 15 minutes

I quite like the first one Sworn Virgins. Theyre albums he’s made over the last 5 or more years so arent just tossed off every two weeks… but some are pretty shite.

I really liked Arañas en La Sombra and bought that one. Better than the new ATD-I I guess, although worse recorded etc.

Anyway, just decided to dip into his stuff again and am now listening to Birth of a Ghost.

Err… This is nice but all orchestral, so entirely unexpected!

Is he a bit like Shakespeare because you have to pretend to enjoy it or everyone thinks you’re a dunce?

I don’t think so. The albums are all really different though. Some are absolute dogshit and some really quite enjoyable. Maybe you just picked a bunch that were dogshit. See what you think of the Birth of a Ghost one?

much more like if you do enjoy it people assume you’re a stoner who will listen to any guitar noodly bollocks

I’ll probably need to listen to ATDI first lol

Well maybe. I’m not sure that’s required but you probably do have to have a bit of an interest in post-hardcore sort of guitar music. I’m not sure it’s remotely intellectual to enjoy that, though.

Album number 48, (23rd in the Ipecac series)
