I don’t even like risotto that much and I like it more than steak.

Steak is so… just dreadful all round. Doesn’t taste that good, plus it’s beef so yeah fuck dealing with the environmental impact factor there.

Not sure what I’m gonna have for dinner tonight, but reckon it’ll be a paella of some kind.

Sorry mate.

You’ve started a good thread here with a sensible opinion and a load of utter clowns have come in and ruined it. All the best

You’ve never found out the difference between a £1.20 sandwich from the newsagents and a specially made for you sandwich from a deli then.

Bloody love a risotto mate.

Mushroom can be as good as meat, for sure. When Wetherspoons did Sunday roasts the veggie wellington was way better than any of the meat options.

They don’t call him ‘risottone’ for nothing!

I actually agree with him, and i’m not sure that’s what he was saying. I bloody love a 99p newsagent sarnie, especially the vinagry scrambled egg ones, that’s not to say £6 nobhead sarnies aren’t also nice.

I (famously) accidentally ordered a mushroom risotto on my first date with my current partner as a result of being a bit flummoxed when the waiter came over. It is an ongoing joke that if I order a risotto I have done so inadvertently but I do actually really enjoy both making and eating risottos.

Which restaurant? If you don’t mind me asking.

I only eat sandwiches I make because all shop bought sandwiches are gross. I misspoke, I should have said you can’t fuck up the bread part of a sandwich. Did you know some sandwiches contain mayo? Can you fucking believe that??

I think the thing about steak is, if you are a meat eater, don’t bother unless it’s a really good cut of meat and the place you’re eating at knows how to do it properly.

I had steak at the Cafe de Paris by some top chef who was doing a pop up there a couple of years ago and it was amazing.

There are very few places where I would order steak. You have to know that it’s going to be done properly. Otherwise don’t.

And, yes, environmentally eating beef is not good in any case.

I’m so easily swayed. My family call me stubborn but someone on here says a food and I’ll go to the shops and get the ingredients and that’ll be my dinner.

I like risotto but I do remember being unfairly maligned on these boards for sometimes cooking a non stir baked risotto.

They’re spelled and pronounced differently, amongst other things

Having a genuinely good risotto is on my bucket list. Near the bottom, but it’s there.
