Spike’s speech; the highlight thus far.
WTF when will it be Glenn Close’s year?
Mate who cares SOPHIE FROM PEEP SHOW IS A FKN OSCAR WINNER
Guess i need to watch The Favourite.
Yes, you do.
My Twitter feed is basically wall-to-wall
about Green Book winning.
FilmCritHULK:
The oscar voters are 92% white and an AVERAGE of 62 years old.
Delighted for Olivia.
Bohemian Rhapsody winning best editing is a farce. The editing is objectively bad. I’m really angry about how successful this film is.
I think that data is from six years ago, I’m sure it’s still pretty bad now, but there has been some demographic shift in the last few years.
Big surprise as foreign-language film (from Netflix no less) doesn’t win Best Picture. Was kind of an open goal for Green Book really I reckon Amy Adams did some secret campaigning for Olivia Colman to try and make sure she didn’t become the new Oscars bridesmaid
When was the last time a film as made-for-TV as Green Book won Best Picture? Shakespeare in Love? Driving Miss Daisy?
Find her slightly annoying sorry
In a luvvie kind of way
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Fuck me there are some dire winners in there.
Glad about Colman though obvs. Bev? Kev?
It’s Graham Norton’s fault. She was on his programme years ago and he seemed to be in a foul mood and annoyed by her humility or something. Think it was probably because Thierry Henry was also a guest though and he famously handballed to knock out Ireland out of World Cup qualifications. So yeah Olivia Colman’s great haha I love her.
Glad to see Olivia Colman and Regina King win but by fuck are the Oscars not even trying anymore…
Better without a host so there’s no lame edgy jokes
(didn’t watch it)
I once saw Olivia Colman in the Rosendale in West Dulwich. Subthread: ever seen an Oscar winner in the pub?
Her acceptance was the only thing I bothered looking up this morning in YouTube, was hilarious but she was genuinely overcome with emotion and was struggling to make any sense
Once saw Ben Whishaw in the Camel just over the road from there. Bafta and Golden Globe but no Oscar.
