Other than Green Onions by Booker P and the MGs, what is the greatest instrumental track of all time?

I think it’s pretty difficult to beat New Paths To Helicon, Part 1 by Mogwai - specifically the version from Government Commissions.

Ten Rapid is the best Mogwai release.

Hurrah for you! It all went downhill from their first EPs…Ithica wotnot is my favourite of theirs, everything good about Mogwai in 3 minutes.

This Richard Hawley closer to Coles Corner is breathtaking, Eno-esque shimmering beauty, a modern classic:

It’s got some great stuff on it but TBH I find the production a bit weedy in places. Which is why I nominated the session version rather than the original.
