This used to be an award they would hand out at the end of the brits ceremony. They stopped it in 2012.
Previous winners have included Blur, Robbie Williams, Paul McCartney and Duran Duran.

So what the hell was the award given to Robbie Williams this time? The “please turn up so some middle aged people will watch the show” award?

I’m guessing Coldplay would probably win it now…or somebody who’s been around for years and years and never had any recognition like One Direction.
