Probably my favourite ever song - I haven’t posted any Cure yet as so many clips to get through! I did stumble across this before, fascinating to hear the song evolve from here to final slower, moodier version with new lyrics. This is from a few months later…

Stewart Copeland out-Grohling Grohl with ease here. Overlooked.

ENERGY!

Love the brains & brawn in this, an all-time favourite live performance of mine. It actually looks like the camera man is backing off. Raw.

Full set though so doesn’t meet the rules of the thread, apparently

They really couldn’t play (in a classical sense) but the music and urgency in this influenced countless to get in a band. As genuine as art in music gets captured by a television camera, almost intrusive. Wondrous.

Yeah the flute is the best bit. Here’s Iggy doing it himself properly:

Best SY clip I could find (unfortunately the bass is really muddy):

off-topic but i was watching the stooges at ATP but then had enough so went to leave and kim gordon was stood by the exit and tutted at me

Even when I first saw that on a tiny monitor with piss poor speakers, it blew me away.
