Meg’s stare at 3:30, goddamn. Jack was only cool when he was around her.

Oh shoot, that sounds like it’s probably from the Adore tour - they were doing an amazing version of BWBW back then that started with a long drum solo and had the distortion levels altered throughout and it got faster and faster and faster as it went on. This might be what you’re thinking of? I remember having a show on CD-R back in the day where it was played twice as fast, I need to track that down.

I always loved watching the guests on the Fallon one try to look like they had a fucking clue what was going on.

Always wished the album version sounded this intense, love the breakdown

Everything after 2:10 was the height of cool to me as a teenager (still feel the same now tbh)

I’m not sure if it’s the definitive version, but I remember coming across this on TV and being pretty blown away by the pulsing energy in that room. The intro is hypnotic.

Also this feels pretty obligatory:

Very nice. I had the following down on my list, reckon it’s a close call on both fronts…

May cause motion sickness

Anyone know what the best Mars Volta performances are? This thread has made me realize I’ve inexplicably never sought out their live stuff.
