Own brand stuff that is not good

I can only really think of Ketchup.

Came here to say ketchup but I’d wager most condiments and sauces

I do wonder if big business pressures cheaper brand stuff to taste crappier though, like there’s no reason why ketchup should have to be Heinz

Own brand crisps, what a joke

Off brand Mr. Muscle is completely useless.

M&S and Sainos ketchup is fine. Own brand brown sauce however is generally awful.

The cheapest tortilla chips are the best by a significant distance.

sometimes, lidl’s ones aren’t too bad though actually. Can usually conjure up a decent cheese & onion or ready salted but the salt & vinegar is where they often fall down

Morrisons do the only edible supermarket brand pasty.

Tesco’s own brand meat substitute stuff is mostly pretty pretty bland.

Digestives are often a little softer than McVities but I find the trade-off is worth it for the price

Is this a tongue twister?

Morrisons are always pretending they’re Gregg’s tbf

Best supermarket imo.

Tesco equivalent to chocolate hobnobs - actually quite different to hobnobs, work as a result.

Asda equivalent to chocolate hobnobs - like thicker and blander hobnobs. Not great.

There’s this massive one in Stamford hill I still have horrible 'Nam flashbacks about trying to make it out alive from, I’m sure it’s nice when not completely rammed to the gills
