Kip talked about the lineup stuff in a couple of interviews, like here

Says most of the others didn’t want to tour anymore.

I’m sure there was another one from around 2014 but I can’t find it.

Clearly remember around the Belong era Kip making a post on Facebook saying something like “looking for a new backing vocalist, get in contact if you’re interested!” and some of the members of the band being like “???” in the comments underneath, and then Kip making a post backtracking shortly after :grimacing:

Quite liked Belong. When we saw them the TV bought the third album and Kip awkwardly insisted on signing it, even though she said she didn’t want him to.

Also we once had their first album on and my dad said “this sounds just like the Smiths” - he really hates the Smiths so we turned it off.

This concludes all of my stories about The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart.

Actually I have a third one which is that at that same show I loaned my pal the cash to buy a t shirt which he later on sold to the TV for the same amount of money as he / I bought it for.

Highly enterprising fellow.
