roti is cooked like a pancake, naan is not.

Also could argue poppadoms, but they are in a separate category I called crisp. A noble, humble neutral in the bread wars

Surely pancake products are made with a batter and bread products are made with a dough therefore a lot of the products you are claiming as members of the pancake family are wrong?

flat things, (often round because that’s how physics work, but can be other shapes) cooked on a flat hot base. Often served due to their ability to envelop other food and lack distinct breadiness (for example Pita, Flatbread), but also can stand alone.
