Paris Olympics Day 15 🧗🤾‍♀️🕺🤝🚴

Thought I’d help @iridium out for today, but I’ll leave them to do a much better preview of the climbing!

A frankly ridiculous amount of stuff lined up.

The men’s marathon is underway and will finish around 9, when the women’s handball :denmark::sweden: bronze match starts, final :norway::fr: at 2. Women’s climbing from 9:15 and the final season at 11:35. There’s also the women’s football final and men’s madison this afternoon! And I’m sure lots of running, jumping and throwing this evening.

But most importantly, the B-boys strut their stuff from 3, featuring the likes of Victor, J Attack, Jeffro and Phil Wizard.

The price for spectator entry to breaking (entering and breaking!), 4pm until 10 pm (round robin, quarter finals, semis, bronze dance, final) is 25 euro.

Not too bad, hey?

Was the same for all parc urbaine, place Concorde sports, BMX and that.

Reckon it’s gonna be a nice atmosphere, I’m looking forward to it

The marathon goes up a big hill, that’s exciting

Cairess showed a lot of promise finishing 3rd in London running by himself, hope he can hang on for a medal.

what do you mean they don’t have all the horses out at the same time for modern pentathlon

Thought not being able to run downhill would be a big problem for Abdi but apparently not

Very brief climbing preview.

It would be a real shock if anyone other than Janja Garnbret :slovenia: got gold. She is the absolute dominant force and is in a completely different level to everyone else. This is really a competition for silver and bronze. But still, things can go wrong, especially in lead…

There are a couple of bouldering specialists in the final, just notably Oriane Bertone :fr: (probably second best in the world behind Janja) and Oceana McKenzie :australia:. They will need to put in outstanding performances in the bouldering round to have any chance of a medal. If they finish outside the medal places after boulder it will be near impossible.

Similarly there are a couple of lead specialists such as Jessica Pilz :austria: and Ai Mori :jp: (who is normally the better boulderer of the two). If they put in strong performances in boulder it will be looking very good for them.

Brooke Raboutou :us_outlying_islands: is probably the favourite for silver because like Janja she is strong in both events.

Seo Chaehyun :kr: and Erin McNeice :uk: are probably the biggest underdogs and it would be a huge upset if either of them medalled, but they are still both very good climbers so who knows?!

Please ensure you are cheering for my girls Oriane and Oceana throughout. As much as their best chance of a medal is if LA gets a separate boulder event it is still very much within the realms of possibility.
