From memory Grenelle is a good area to stay if you want to do basic touristy stuff - walking distance from the Eiffel Tower, metro lines take you easily to places lile the Champs Ellysés and other things I can’t think of now.

I’d also second whoever siad upthread the Musée d’Orsay is a better option than the Lourve if you want to do an art gallery - less crowded and a bit smaller so easier on little legs.

aka the holy trinity

I really like montmatre, it’s probably one of my favourite areas of Paris. I have also stayed in La Marais and that was good too. The 10th arrondisement by canal Saint Martin is really nice. It’s also near Gare Du Nord.

Pal used to live there. Been loads of times. Always had fun. Can’t really remember any specific thing or place.

It’s a bit dirty and expensive for a Brit and the people are really unfriendly. In other words, it’s exactly like London or New York and I don’t want to speak to anyone anyway.

Paris? Mica go to.

Bumping. A very specific scenario here:

I have ~4 hours to kill in Paris tomorrow. Get into Gare du Nord at ~2pm and will be meeting a friend from there that evening. Weather looks hot, so don’t really wanna get the metro or anything. What can I do / where can I go that is walking distance from GDN? Any good ice cream places? Best baguette? OTHER STUFF.

Sacre Coeur?

Just make sure you get one of these at some point in time

That looks amazing tbh. Wonder if they could batter and deep fry it

If you do go to the Sacre Coeur I had an amazing breakfast just round the corner:
