Bet it was The Lads again.
Not only did I get the classic “German flag” heavy duty green shirt from an army surplus, when I went to a reading I bought a full on dress uniform jacket thing (like the Libertines, but green rather than red). Coolest fresher around.
I suspect it was The Townies, mortal enemies of The Moshers (my team)
had Rancid and Anti-Flag patches on my shoulder bag. Good god, those are pretty much the only two bands I don’t still listen to for nostalgia
Dickies jeans for some reason

Ahahaha, like this?
A guy I knew at school once solemnly told me that if you didn’t wear Dickies jeans at a gig, the mosh pit would target you for a special beating.
not Dickies jeans, but chinos were huge over where I grew up
and the shorts which went lower than your knees

Just remembered that a kid in my school came in on dress down day in one of those Libertines jackets. Dress down day before that he came in in a white shirt with the names of loads of ska punk bands written on it in felt tip. Found him on Facebook and he’s really into snooker now.
the idea of teens being into chinos seems ridiculous to me
Those Blue Bolt/Bernies jeans that covered your entire shoes for some reason
In Ladhood the kids take the piss out of their mate when he wears jeans rather than trackies, that was one thing that didn’t echo my own experience at all (but I guess him and his mates were what I would’ve seen as townies)
Patent twats do not appreciate maverick ways.
I was in the school marching band and when the Libertines started getting big I wondered whether I could pull off wearing my band jacket with jeans and Converse (never tried it)
I had one of the German army coats with the removal inner fluffy layer. Stylish and practical.
Wow!
Ultimate backpack poll
Just got this
Thanks. Can’t believe even @tilty didn’t give me a like for it TBH
