People used to talk a lot about phones

and now they still talk about phones but not so much as they used to talk about phones.

Noticed this. Used to be v concerned about people looking at my phone and what model it was, and noticing other people’s too. Now nobody’s arsed unless you’re a phone nerd.

“You ever noticed how people used to talk ON phones and now they just talk ABOUT phones?”

would be nice if there were more different types phones knocking about
had high hopes for that folding smartphone but it seems to cost over £1000 and break really easily

like a £100 phone and a £1,000 phone do the exact same things now but the £1,000 phone does them ever so slightly better

kinda hard to give a shit

↑ talkin’ phones

The numbers have got too big. 100 megapixels. 16gb of RAM. 6 cameras. Too big. Meaningless.

100 is a big number

Remember when phones were really small?

I think its because we’ve reached the relative peak of phone development. Years ago you had a 3310 and you could play snake on it or send an sms using longform text, then smartphones came along and they were amazing. Suddenly you could listen to music, stream Internet, play games and all that. Massive leaps. Now the biggest leap is that you can get a phone where the screen goes over the edge of the side of the phone a bit

I think we’re past peak phone tbh. Eventually watches and tv’s will just do their shit better online and the actual talking aspect we’ll probably have implanted into our skin or w/e
