Ritchie Blackmore guitar God from Deep Purple and Rainbow. left the world of Heavy Metal to make some medieval lute albums. They must have sold well because he’s back touring Rainbow.

Tegan and Sara? From indie-rock to stadium pop (and back again?)

Similarly, Paramore, and all those other emo/pop-punk bands who went all new wave a few years back.
