given that HGWIR today is about Spaced/Simon Pegg stuff it’s worth mentioning that in Hot Fuzz Bill Bailey plays identical twin policemen who are always reading. One twin is always reading Ian Banks, while the other is always reading Ian M Banks

Isn’t there some code amongst actors and the like, which means that you have to be known by your full name plus initial if you have the same name as another actor? That might explain some of these folk. Also if your parent is famous and named you after themselves.
