There was another boy in my year at secondary school with exactly the same name as me.

Led to minor confusion with exam results a few times and one year they almost gave him the BCG vaccine twice. Still occasionally get tagged in photos of him on Facebook by old school friends.

Had a similar situation - we used to have sit next to each other in certain classes which was hilarious for everyone.

Worked out well for me though - he was something of a school sports hero, so I was often getting congratulated on my amazing performance in the latest rugby match or whatever. Got loads of certificates meant for him too - apparently I hold the school record for running the 100m.

Sounds like you’ve lived a great life!

Yeah my name is unique too, a result of being a cultural mongrel. Useful for nabbing my own website domain and people remember it even if they can’t spell it, which is fairly useful as I’m self-employed and need all the Googleability I can get.

There is someone with a pretty similar name to mine who apparently works as a bridge engineer somewhere in the US so I get a lot of LinkedIn invites and messages from people thinking I’m her.

I’m Tony Robertson, but I always get called Tony Robinson.

At school I was called Baldrick. Hopefully just for the name than anything else.

I liked your username even more now
