Can I have Land And Freedom?

Bloody loved this.

Also: The Favourite, Marie Antoinette — these three titles have a lot in common but are also unique and original in different ways :sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart::sparkling_heart:

Brooklyn was nice and fluffy.
The Handmaiden is pretty flawless.
Lady Macbeth does some nice subversion.

Gentlemen Jack. Season 2 WHEN?

I live for this shit though, Downtown Abbey, Love And Friendship, BBC Pride & Prejudice, Emma, Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, Lady Macbeth, The Favourite, Little Women, David Copperfield, Belle. Basically if there’s bonnets, I’m here for it.

I really enjoy The Crown :man_shrugging:

It feels really rushed and KK and MM are not as attractive (to me) and enigmatic as Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth.

Edvard Munch is on mubi now

one of the best films about artists and probably one of the best british films of all time i reckon

I’ve been watching the first series of Poldark.
It’s ok, surprised it had so much hype tbh.
Has anyone seen it? Would be more fun with someone to talk about it with.

Have a soft spot for Rome (the hbo one), it’s just ridiculous fun. Does that count?

In terms of trad period dramas I can’t think of any I really really like. Would rather read the book of P&P or S&S or whatever.

The bbc David Copperfield with Rodney trotter, Bobo Hoskins and Harry Potter is a good christmas watch.

Also some of the better Poirot episodes are really really good and look lovely
