Pesto

Nice, isn’t it. Not like earth-shatteringly great or anything but good solid and dependable. Get it out of a jar, obviously. Chilli pesto is very nice also, especially on a pizza .The red one is ok but less good than the OG (original green).

Yeah it’s nice but to be honest, I prefer pasta with just a few toms, oil and lemon.
Green pesto is nicer than red, on the whole. Pesto.

Pro-tip: use pesto as a condiment when making a sandwich

I love all the ingredients and flavours individually, but somehow it always combines to less than the sum of its parts for me.

Robert Pesto

It’s a pest-no from me

Does anyone else call him ‘Robert Pesto’?

Homemade pesto is easily the best if you do it right.

Yeah, that is a staggeringly bad opinion. Jar pesto tastes too oily and artificial, no vibrancy or freshness to it.

Waitrose do sea bass with a wild rocket pesto butter and it is The Nuts.

Literally just chuck everything in a blender though?

You just chuck ingredients in a blender.

An excellent faff to reward ratio

yeah, it’s serviceable stirred through pasta for a quick meal, but that’s as far as I’ll go.

And perhaps toast the pine nuts
