Beyond a few very obvious picks around the top end, and a few slightly less obvious ones at the bottom end, it just seems like 200 big songs from the decade in any random order doesn’t it?

Also, there’s so little rock or electronic stuff in there, that the stuff they have included just seems completely arbitrarily picked and out of place.

Thought this was the readers poll initially, are they doing their own list and then the readers list then?

Yup. They always do it that way around. It will follow the singles and albums lists.

This might be the worst list I’ve seen from them.

I wasn’t expecting them to have more than a couple songs I like, but it’s pretty weird even for them to not have anything from Titus Andronicus’s The Monitor or even Sufjan Stevens.

They’ve totally lost it, haven’t they? No wonder its impact has dwindled over the past few years.

Alright and Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe aren’t close to being the first and second best Kendrick songs of the decade.

I mean, I get the added significance of Alright, but still.

I’ll read the album list but can’t really muster any excitement for a list of songs

That’s quick going to be well angered by this. Looking forward to it.

first thing I noticed - no The Age of Adz at all

Glancing at Wikipedia this only made #25 on their albums of the year so it kinda makes sense that it might not make it in.

Although looking through the rest of the list there are plenty that didn’t make their respective year-lists at all. Hmm.

RTJ2 was their album of the year in 2014 and is only 131 here so I don’t think end of year positions has any impact here

Carrie and Lowell is rightfully highly-placed so it’s not like Sufjan got overlooked, mind.

That Beyoncé album is ludicrously high

Much better list than the songs one though

Carrie and Lowell should probably be on there but I don’t see why Age Of Adz would.
