Dier is a pleasant surprise as he’s a Southgate favourite, but shit. The other 2 are decent players in positions where we have lots of decent players who’ve had slightly better seasons.

Cigarette paper between Ings (bit more England experience, great finisher), Bamford (best form, best season, probably the best all round footballer) and Greenwood (biggest talent, best international future) for that final striker spot.

Assume we’ll axe another right back from the final squad because 4 is a ridiculous amount (if we’re playing a back 4)

I count myself amongst the ‘I don’t really care’ crowd.

I’ll watch our matches, hope we do alright but not really expecting much, but the real joy of a competition like this is watching everyone else. Hate the press, media and commentary that goes with England matches, and the fans are just abhorrent.

Mainly hope Liverpool players do well, and come home unscathed.
