Colossus of Rhodes springs to mind for me, love the fucker
I’ve been to this one in Bratislava, though
(but this isn’t the thread for “places that still exist, that you’ve been to”)
Filbert Street football ground.
Sodom sounded like a fun place.
you can park where it used to be, maybe that would give you the same thrill
I’ve been there and I’ll be honest with you it didn’t strike me as somewhere I’d miss.
I’ll give it a go and report back.
if you were sailing past the colossus of Rhodes would you look up to see his balls as you passed underneath?
Oh wait I think that’s fictional
I read that there’s no chance the collosus of rhodes was actually straddling the harbour like that and it was probably just a big statue standing normally, which is very boring.
This is why we shouldn’t read.
yeah I’ve read that too and chose to ignore it
You just want a good look at his balls
That’s none of your business
The Tricorn in Portsmouth, back when it had the flea market and comic book store (late 90s ish). Iconic.
Used to skate round there loads. There was an old petrol station with metal edged, raised kerb islands where the pumps would’ve been and deep in there was a large 3 set. Used to love the tricorn
