This is now the cycling threads thread

shit…hit the wrong button by mistake there

I look a bit ashleycoleroma.jpg in this photo

I have a mate whose bike has no gears and no brakes. How long until he dies?

Depends how much and where he rides it

Rides it a lot round Leeds for work delivering packages.

I assume it’s a fixed wheel bike so he has one brake… which is not pedaling/pushing the pedal backwards.
This is the same sort of deal as the lad who was found responsible for killing that woman. A bike needs two brakes… so what he’s doing is illegal. That said a few people do it and get away with not hurting themselves or someone else :man_shrugging:

i like cyclists and if i understood how to get to work without all my clothes being creased i’d like to be one

i don’t understand why professionals need to be taking any drugs, but that goes for other sports too

Hello

TV is doing a cycling challenge next year (Paris to Le Havre, rowing the channel, hiking cross country from Brighton to London) and the amount of cycling related shite that is slowing filling up our house is driving me insane. So far we have the bike, the spare bike, a random mountain bike, bike rack for the car and last night a bloody thing for riding his bike indoors. Let alone all the Lycra. Bloody cyclists.
