What happened to the cunts?

I could’ve chosen to take umbrage with the ‘let loose’ bit too… like the road belongs to the cars and cyclists are being allowed to use it… :face_with_raised_eyebrow::thinking::smirk:

Apart from when they get punched

no one would have the heart to punch a mule though.

really didn’t want to make everyone angry at each other today, sorry!

my point with that was to emphasise the comparison of London to a city like Copenhagen which has really successfully implemented an infrastructure for cycling and is a really pleasant place to both drive and cycle around. but yes i rescind my implication that roads belong to cars!

I’d disagree, on roads where there is reasonable traffic on either side it is quite hard to find an overtake opportunity, not even possible on roads with the white line down the middle that you arent allowed to cross

I love horses, so peaceful and relaxing

Like, I know people are LOL CYCLISTS ARE CUNTS! LOL! in here, and I know that obviously quite a few are (like there are fucking idiot drivers, peds, etc), but this whole rhetoric is part of why the road can be a very dangerous place for more vulnerable road users. I have on plenty of occasions seen my life flash before my eyes as some cunt in a car tries to ram me out of the road forcing me to do something dangerous, or as someone shouts and threatens violence at me and fellow club riders when we’re riding, perfectly legally, two abreast down a country lane. It’s fucking scary. I’m definitely not perfect but every cyclist will have fucking loads of stories where they’ve felt in fear of their life just for choosing riding a bike, and I’m not sure you can say the same thing about being a pedestrian.

in an ideal world doctors could prescribe you a field with horses in to stare at for a while, really great for depression unless you hate horses

oddest cyclist/motorist interaction i saw recently was when a cyclist came to a junction, the van coming up the other road stopped to let him out, the cyclist waved him on and then they got into a brief and sort of angry sounded shouting match over getting the other person to go first. bizarre.

i did hear also recently hear the thud behind me of a Deliveroo driver getting knocked off his bike by a car, bit grim. He looked alright though and the driver rushed out to help him. I thought of going back to check on him but I was running late for a Shellac gig.

and people are annoyed at pavement cyclists… some are on the pavement because they’re scared to be on the roads.

Ok im wrong there turns out you can cross a white line to overtake a pedal cycle that is travelling at no more than 10 mph, blame my driving instructor

Horses are fucking mental bags of nerves

The electric bike dominos cyclists are bare reckless round my ends and need to chill out. Pizz is life, but dont risk your life
