Yeah I agree. It’s a nightmare. There’s even a setting
but I’m sure it resets every day (TBF maybe if I was to sign up for a Telegraph account it would remember) and it doesn’t work on the first letter, so if you’ve completed 1A, 6A and 9A and then switch to downs you still have to hit the first letter of each column and then you will skip the ones entered on the 3rd and 5th rows.
