If you move after the lock-in period (if there is one) then I wouldn’t count that as flipping.

All the completed ones are all reserved, and to find out about the upcoming ones, it looks like you have to live or work in the borough?

Where is all the promised storage in those designs? Under the bed?

More like out of pocket living! Mirite…

There are decent-sized cupboards in the hallway and master bedroom.

Quite nice looking flats

Let’s keep a note of anybody in this thread who pretends earning more than £90k’s quite common, then we’ll combine if with the list of people who pretend they earn £20+ an hour in the poll thread, then we’ll track them all down, bundle them into the back of a lorry, set it on fire and roll it off a cliff.

My point was that we should do bad, bad things to such compulsive liars.

I’ve stopped counting at this point, tbqfh. Seems vulgar.

Semi-skilled office work doesn’t cost £20 an hour.

The couple of lawyers on here, and the architect (forget sho that is), etc, sure.

what’s Manchester’s young businessman of the year 2014 raking in these days? I take it most of your wealth is asset-based now?

There’s a little bit about their business model in this piece from a few years back. I imagine the key thing is the lack of affordable housing contributions, which would also explain the restrictions on living in the Borough. Presume the nature (1 bed flats only) means there won’t be contributions for schools that you might get in a bigger and more mixed scheme. I’d also imagine, much like student housing providers, they also go for ‘difficult’ bits of land that other developers would be hesitant to work with.

I think it’s really interesting, anyway. One of the biggest issues with our housing industry is that its dominated by a very small number of firms and there’s very little innovation. I also think that anything that improves housing choice is a good thing.

The 2 bed flat we’re in the process of buying in London is less than the price of a 2 bed pocket bollocks one AND it’s bigger.

Catford isn’t hip enough for Pocket.

Didn’t know you were looking for somewhere…

Goddamnit.

These look pretty nice tbh, and in alright locations, maybe. The idea that they’re “discounted” in any way is quite depressing though

Ground rent and service charge is pretty £££ but probably expected for a complex like this.

This to me seems largely a good initiative.

for myself this is a meaningless scheme, the gap between london prices and everywhere else is astronomical

i have no interest in buying in london and i find it amusing when other people do who haven’t got vital work/family reasons for needing to live here

if you just do any old generic office job, might as well move to manchester or glasgow and buy a place for £150k

or burnley for £30k
