There’s a little bit about their business model in this piece from a few years back. I imagine the key thing is the lack of affordable housing contributions, which would also explain the restrictions on living in the Borough. Presume the nature (1 bed flats only) means there won’t be contributions for schools that you might get in a bigger and more mixed scheme. I’d also imagine, much like student housing providers, they also go for ‘difficult’ bits of land that other developers would be hesitant to work with.

I think it’s really interesting, anyway. One of the biggest issues with our housing industry is that its dominated by a very small number of firms and there’s very little innovation. I also think that anything that improves housing choice is a good thing.

Ground rent and service charge is pretty £££ but probably expected for a complex like this.

for myself this is a meaningless scheme, the gap between london prices and everywhere else is astronomical

i have no interest in buying in london and i find it amusing when other people do who haven’t got vital work/family reasons for needing to live here

if you just do any old generic office job, might as well move to manchester or glasgow and buy a place for £150k

or burnley for £30k
