Opening episode could be an interview with Lucien :open_mouth:

A podcast where a group of self-absorbed culture critics (all male) based in either New York or LA talk about The State of Music Journalism in 2019.

The show has absolutely no editing, has one guest phoning in via a mobile phone with poor signal and significant time delay thus creating an awkward silence every time he makes a joke, the audio has no compression meaning that the jingles and stabs are incredibly loud in comparison to the speech, and the presenters make frequent reference to their friends and colleagues (who the listener would not know). Each episode starts with a 20-minute preamble where they talk about the contents of the episode. For some reason one of mics has loads of reverb.

Panellists from In Our Time review playground equipment.

live sessions from famous musical acts, all recorded off a single phone placed behind all the musicians

I would call it something snappy like “The podcast that all middle class white men should be making instead of that idea you and your equally unfunny and uninteresting pals came up with in the pub.” or “The podcast that couldn’t slow down”

Episode-per-minute review of Das Boot

The centrist pod.
Can we actually do it. Think we would make a wedge.
Just get some racists on every week and dont disagree with anything they say.
Millenial question time vibe

“Ive been sleeping on a casper mattress for years, it comfortable all over but i get my best nights sleep in the middle”

"Use the promo code centristpod on beer52.com to get a case of macro brewed 4% session ipas for just £5.99 postage and packaging "

Really wanted to do one where I think of a band from my childhood like Leftöver Crack and then investigate the label they were on and dig through associated acts on the label. Ultimately I decided that no-one needs to hear another bald white man talk about music.

A story in progress - each month is a new chapter and it’s a different writer each time. They can listen to all the ones preceding theirs, but they only write their chapter.

I’d love to be on a podcast actually! I don’t know much but I’m good at having opinions
