i haven’t decided what one to get, right now i’d go for Sword over Shield just because a sword > a shield but that’s pretty weak.
right now i’d go for Grookey, but then for Sun/Moon i was 100% #TeamLitten and then when i actually started the game i chose Rowlet so who knows (Rowlet > Popplio > Litten btw)
question btw: we have one Switch but both my wife and I want to play this. anyone know if we’re both going to be able to play on our own saves under our separate profiles on the same game (this was fine on Let’s Go) or if we need to get two games? and if we did get two games, any actual way we could trade with each other?!
Since the switch to 3D it feels like the amount of
actual content in each game has sunk massively. Black & White 2 were going in a direction I really liked; stuffed full of side quests, hidden secrets in the overworld, masses of stuff to explore, loads of postgame content and a mofo hard mode! I know the way of unlocking it was ridiculous, but still, it was there and they could include one again at any point. Since moving into 3D it feels like the overworlds have got smaller and less interesting, the games have been piss easy and full of tedious cutscenes, they’ve been getting rid of good features. Moving to the Switch was a potential to really make a leap and change up the gameplay and stuff it full of content and make better overworlds but so far these look not much better than 3DS games.
It does but they are blowing every bit of news out of proportion and adding to a huge list of issues and complaints about the “£20 price increase”. I just don’t see how people get so worked up about something like this.
This will be my first proper Pokémon game and starting to wish I hadn’t pre-orderd and especially not digitally. I think I got a bit carried away with hyped switch releases always delivering this year.
I know it will have issues but the main thing that’s putting me off is that it seems like it’s going to be stupidly easy?
A lot of it is nostalgia for older games which were tuned to be quite grindy IMO - you had to battle wild pokes in random encounters repeatedly to level up to a point where you stood a chance of progressing.
