A long time ago Dave Grohl - former nicest man in rock & now outed serial shagger - wore a T-shirt of a not-particularly-spectacular Swedish band called The Sounds in a Foo Fighters music video
This single act, plus Dave saying he was a fan, made The Sounds apparently very popular in The States for a little while
Can’t remember the name of the said Foo’s song but in the video he was throwing a bunch of stuff off a bridge
At their peak the Kaiser Chiefs seemed to have the Cribs as support for every tour.
