I thought Van Morrison was a notoriously obstinate berk, thought he was well known for being able to start arguments in a room by himself

I see what you’re trying to trick me with here but its not going to work

its not for everyone and there are times when i dont want to hear it. but i love it, prob has a lot to do with lots of hip hop producers loving and sampling their work and coming through it that way in the 90s.

dunno, have some vague memories of Brown Eyed Girl getting pumped out of bars painted in bright red white and blue around town including the one I used to work in but I might just be retrospectively associating things

aye in both cases they got turned into something good and listenable

i think of it more as precision produced idk… semantics i guess. but that sound they create is pretty special and singular to my ears.

admittedly a big part of their appeal is nerding out about over which musician joined in for which album/song/solo

not quite sure how you got there from that but ok

Not sure really, seemed like a good idea at the time. Would you like me to change it to ‘Ally McCoist’?

depends how much you want your joke to stand up: Ally’s quite a good guy and one of the few both sides of the divide respect (probably cuz he was the last good Scottish striker)

I’m not that committed to it tbh.
