Went to an Italian deli that had a few bags of this - works really well for pizza.

Going to try making a sourdough starter again. Third time lucky.

I want to be quarantined with your pizzas

Had a bolognese last night so used some leftover dough to make garlic bread…

Your dough always looks incredible :yum:
I’m a bit confused though… Why did you have leftover dough from making a bolognese?

Where’s the pizza sauce, pal?

None in t cupboards none in t shops :sob:

Yes - that is a badly worded post.

Made pizza on Saturday and had leftover dough. Made bolognese on Sunday, used the leftover dough.

:slightly_frowning_face: We’re running v low on tinned tomatoes and we haven’t been able to find any on our last 2 shops either.

Sainos are limiting to three tins per customer and don’t have any multi packs.

Bought a couple of kilos of fresh ones though

I hope you have tasty plans for those fresh tomatoes

Also, how do you get those sweet bubbles and blistered char on it? Do you have a proper pizza oven?

Most likely a lot of them will be roasted for salad or soup but I’ve already made a big load of pico de gallo :yum:

Yeah, I bought one of those Ooni ones that burn wood pellets. It was pretty pricey, but we use it a lot and I do think it’s become a legitimate hobby for a man who no longer has any other real hobbies.

Can I get Reddit Mansplainy real quick and post my dough technique (based on one I pinched from elsewhere (and some people here))?

300g 00 flour (the Sainsbos one is great)
6g salt
4.5g Saf yeast
195g warm water

Mix all that in a mixer for 5-10 mins, put in a bit plastic tub for 8 hours or so. Then remove, roll into a ball, put back in tub and leave in fridge for 2-3 days. Take out a few hours before cooking, and divide into 160g-ish balls. Cover and let them get to room temp. Get oven to 450ish, stick them in the oven. Sprinkle a bit of oil on beforehand to get the nice burnt bits.
