The whole of Philophobia reminds of winter. I have a vivid memory from that really snowy winter about 7 years ago of trudging through foot deep snow to the offlicence listening to this, and it just feeling like the entire world was deserted.

People posting all these songs with “December” in the title and claiming they’re winter songs is annoying me.

At any rate, surprised no one’s mentioned this one:

Few missing, some lovely stuff in there though. :snowflake:

The debut Beach House record is a winter record for me (as opposed to the more autumnal feel of the follow up). Perhaps because I discovered them when Apple Orchard started appearing on end of year lists in December, but also because songs like this have a very dark wintery vibe:

They produced stronger records and deservedly went on to greater success later on, but the debut is a very special lp chock full of atmosphere and feeling.

When I was at college I had to walk in one morning in a perfect snow shower. No wind, just big fat flakes falling down and everything was coated white. Was like a picture perfect Xmas card. No cars on the road. Had this in the headphones so now every time I hear it, it reminds of me of winter.

I think this nearly applies, and also it’s my own (sort of) so…

I’m so happy to see this on here

Remember being massively into Smog a few Christmases ago, so these alway remind me of winter:

This song makes me think of going home and quiet small towns at night in winter.
