I really need to listen to more Clutch. Was listening to Blast Tyrant today and it’s :raised_hands:t2:

I’ve loved them since about 1993!

What the absolute funk is going on with the GYBE Skinny Fists image? Love it!

Had forgotten how utterly brilliant Have You In My Wilderness is! Only new album checked out this week was The Bears For Lunch.

El Gran Orgo needs to be added to steaming sites. I really don’t want to have to go up into the loft to find my CD

Edit: it’s on youtube - will have to do

Yeah as soon as the drums kick in on Feel You, you know you’re in for something special. Just a really beautiful album! What’s your favourite track?

Changes in a monthly basis but the one that first came to mind was Vasquez. What about you?

It’s tough isn’t it? But yeah I’m a big fan of the title track and Night Song.

any thoughts? definitely my favourite of all the reunion stuff

Of the reunion stuff I’ve only checked out Poppy Field and Styles We Paid For so not a great deal to compare it to from the later era but really solid yeah and definitely a bit more memorable than those two albums!

There’s some great track titles on this as ever (many about planes?). Liked the Kinks-y feel to a lot of the tracks like The Corner’s are Glowing, Skin to Skin Combat, Waving at Airplanes and Waking Up The Stars. There’s some wicked drum rolls on Hangover Child which is one of my faves on the album. Some cool shorter jams like Dome Rust and Smoggy Boy. Finger Gang properly made me chuckle a fair bit. Also White Flag made me wonder what a GBV Dido cover would sound like (actually it’s not that hard to imagine really).

What are your favourite picks off this record?

big fan of King Arthur the Red and Up Instead of Running in particular, and The Corners are Glowing is my favourite of the Tobin tracks, but i think it’s pretty consistent all the way through - i’m not massively into The Military School Dance Dismissal, and Tree Fly Jet is proper shit, but the rest is all pretty solid i think, moreso than most of the reunion records. closing track is v good as well.

Yeah I’d remembered you’d say that it was one of your favourites from the reunion records. Reckon I might try Eat The Factory or August by Cake next.
