Off to see Built To Spill doing “Keep It Like A Secret” in full tonight at the Brudenell, hence a bit of a BTS splurge yesterday!

The Stvannyr album is really good (top right), instrumental post-metal in the vein of Russian Circles and Sannhet.

The Gardsghastr album (top left) is flaying my mind.

Really rate the new Big Thief along that Certain Ratio comp and the Protomartyr reissue. Saw Press Club this week which means lotsa plays. The blank square is a Yusuf / Cat Stevens comp.

Ah sweet, hope you enjoy the show! Haven’t heard any reports of how they are live (though they are playing here later on in the year and I’m quite tempted to go) but the records still sound ridiculously fresh so I imagine it’ll be fun either way. Bloody love that cover of Houses in Motion!
