if the hike gets cancelled i might stick around for a beer!

Got to get back to the babe, if I go that long without getting a cuddle from him I might melt or something. Also getting home at a reasonable hour, wouldn’t be so bad if I just had to get back to London but that is only the first leg of the journey.

I am guessing Thursday you are travelling for work then?

Yeah I’m in Cardiff Tuesday to Friday. Another time!

I’ve got a spare for Friday, is anyone interested? we’d have to enter venue at same time because wegottickets

Getting excited for this niw. Been listening to Good Nature a bit and it’s nowhere near as bad as I remembered  was probably a bit harsh on it.

Is this still spare? I bought a ticket for Thursday, whcih is now clashing with another *cough* gig *cough* (…it’s a classical music concert), so if I can offload that one then I would be :+1: :+1: for this.

Looks to be quite a few spares/swaps going on on the FB event page

yup, still spare. will keep hold of it, if you want to shop the Thursday one around

Anyone want my thursday tickets lol

Yeah, this is a bit annoying.

Still looking forward to the Oxford trip, but it is exceedingly rare I get a night away somewhere and I have burned that opportunity on something I could have just done by going to London and back home the same night.

i am reliably informed that they will be doing a longer set in oxford so that’s something

Was pretty good/10 last night though they werent really rehearsed enough imo. Post rock bits sounded good but the prog buts were soo messy.

Plenty tickets going tonight on the FB if anyone is looking. Ex-DiSer alcxxk has a ticket going.

how was the friday guys? @badmanreturns

I thought it was really great, a bit sloppy now and then, only to be expected after such a long time, but fantastic atmosphere, 3 songs from Hurrah, great sound, loved it. Gnade seemed a bit too drunk when he came on at the end of set, backbutting Al English at one point, but they seemed to handle it okay.

Well worth the ridiculous trek back to london

yeah, was great. thought they were tight, but i probably don’t have a good ear for that sort of thing. loved how they freshened up the songs, but still got nostalgic spine-tingles

Probably getting Al back for headbutting him Thursday night tbf.

ah well, that’s all on the level then

they were quite tight tbf! It was more some of the noodle-y bits as opposed to inter-band timing, but it was quite minor. Loved the gig

yeah was surprised by this actually. sounded great in there! suppose that’s also a benefit of not having a full band as support.

yep, agree with all the above - the Shacklewell show was fun (glad I got to see Gnade not-fucked and in a quiet setting, despite having seen him loads before)

but Friday was another level - the sound in there was GREAT - yeah they couldn’t quite nail the noodly bits but that’s no big real really, thought on the whole it was a really good show and a really, really fun evening. even the 4 hour journey home was worth it!
