The Rubinoos have got a tonne of bangers in their back catalogue. Fully recommend their Basement Tapes studio demos for some full-on uplifting power pop cheese. This track is the one they’re prob best known for tho

Charli Bliss’s album Guppy from last year is chock full of great power pop:

Blew my tiny mind when I found out one of them is the person that did the voice of Dash from the Incredibles.
The Romantics nailed that quintessential late 70’s / early 80’s powerpop look. Matching suits, skinny ties, ludicrous hair, etc

The Beat had some awesome tracks. Ex-dude from The Nerves fused some of the Beatles-y melodies from that band with Ramones punk. Exploding Hearts defo took a lot of cues from this stuff

There are lots of different varieties of Power Pop - but I have a soft spot for that late 70s LA sound that was trying to be sixties mersey beat. Just charming.
