Yeah, really feels like a privileged position and you should be charged more for it. But it’s completely free!

Reckon I’d pay a fiver to scan as I shop if they charged it, tbh.

And in Tezzers it actually SAVES you money, cos you had to sign-up for a Clubcard to use the handsets, which gives you discounts! WOW! Have all my habits in exchange for £1 off a crate of Fosters please xoxoxox

Amazed its taken this long for the big supermarkets to do this. Was a thing in Waitrose about 10 years ago. Maybe they just don’t trust their customers.

i tend to fill up my basket until it’s too heavy and i have to put some stuff back, so i don’t think this method is for me

Yeah, first saw it when we used to shop at Sainsbury’s, and we moved from that house about 15 years ago

Remember seeing it briefly in Asda a few years ago, then it disappeared. Pretty sure it’s only been a thing in Sainsbury’s for the last few months.
