you need some help purging a boss i know a guy

I’m doing a job i’d have walked into at eighteen, for £4 an hour less than my previous job.

Back o’ the net!

Doing research for a betfer job, but its really awful how these places sell precarious workers to multinational firms. ‘reduced costs because you don’t have to give sick pay!’. How do these people sleep at night

Worst part is that there’s really intense competition for this type of stuff. We’re all selling ourselves short.

I also can’t see how places think having precarious workers helps them - without holiday pay, sick pay or enough time to get really good at job you just have loads of ineffective monkeys bashing typewriters

This is it, isn’t it. If you don’t give a shit about the staff, they’re not going to give a shit about the job. This doesn’t seem to register for some reason though.

Also the attempt to spin their distain for you as caring - ‘you get to spend time with friends and family’ - no mate i don’t, because i have no money and can’t make plans because I’m waiting on the next assignment which i can’t afford to turn down

This is exactly what happened to me. Except nobody else at work cared :frowning:

Actually. It’s not exactly but it’s close enough.
Bought a new very expensive soundsystem instead.

Today in training a boss told us that the casual workers shouldn’t be cancelling shifts because ‘you don’t have the same rights as regular employees’…

Thinly veiled threat - I could ruin your entire life if you don’t comply
