He’s not played a full professional game yet. There are so many examples of kids bossing it at the U17 level and never making it. In my humble onion, there should be a ban on signing these kind of pre-contracts until players turn 18. Would be best for everyone involved.

it’s not so much ‘modern football’ as basic risk capitalism though is it? The kid is a commodity, a bet, a punt, etc.

Absolutely.

Antpocalypsenow and DanielKelly particularly, support squids but see/saw their clubs worts and all and are/were happy enough to engage about them minus the tinted specs. Parsefone does this about City as well. Football fans primarily.

The non-league lads and lasses, for similar reasons, without the occasionally insecure banter.

Been in overnight discussions with the mods who have agreed that.

  1. For today only, manchester united formations are an acceptable topic of conversation
  2. This temporary amnesty ends 15 minutes after their line-up is officially announced for tonight’s game.
  3. After this point, any manchester united formation chat will lead to an instant one week ban, and any formations including players who haven’t yet signed for Manchester United will be a month long ban.

All seems very reasonable to me
