In 2011 Mercury Rev did Deserter Songs in full at the Poble Espanyol on the Sunday and it was amazing. If you can, hang on until they announce the line up before buying your plane tickets.

That was the best year for the pre/after shows. Caribou to open, Mercury Rev to close! Beautfiul setting too. The problem was that Poble Espanyol was limited capacity and a lot of people apparently missed out

Early line up for All Points East Nick Cave day is Patti Smith, St Vincent and Courtney Barnett. All strong shouts I’d imagine.

I heard from my friend from Porto that Nick Cave was playing there. Not sure how reliable that info is but her friends were fairly certain of it. Doubt he’d play Porto and not Barcelona

Thanks a lot guys, that’s great. Pretty clear that the campsite is a no go - for some reason I got the impression that area was the ‘standard’ accommodation based on that website! And pretty sure I will stay for the Sunday and make the most out of it, was only judged off last years clashfinder having less acts on that day.

Ticket booked now, next to sort out flights and accom, very excited!

A few of my friends had really wanted Gorillaz for Primavera, which I can imagine being a decent fit and I’d probably go along to. Not a major loss for me though

Pearl jam are playing Barcelona later in the summer so won’t be playing primavera.
The mad cool festival has booked a lot of prima type acts this year.
