Primavera really want to celebrate their 20th birthday, but for god sake don’t put people’s lives at risk for it. I’ve done Prima’s 15 years in a row and took last year off, but I’m not gonna try at all for this year’s edition.
Having to pay those pesky bands
I’m not saying it was right, but their problems were caused by being idealistic dreamers rather than evil money grabbers.
I know. Only messing
Very good at paying over the odds for bands, and never paying anyone else you might need to put on a festival at all. Might’ve got away with it too if they didn’t act all arsey with the customer service.
Spotted Gabi today parked up near the excel centre.
I wonder how much they have spent of the advance ticket sales. At least there wasn’t a “Primavera The Movie” shot in America and all that. Too early to print 10,000 t shirts that say “PS 202020” ?
You know, if Barry had never said the thing about the hand-dryers, I’d still be giving him £38.50 a year in the vain hope that a festival might actually happen.
Would probably still take the risk on a ticket for that one even if Barry was planning it for next week
Still hurts to look at that poster… resulted in some good side-shows at least
Except hookworms obvs
Obscene.
I mean I could put together a festival with a lineup that’s never gonna happen too
@littlebirds @andrew_wolfpack I’d take a chance and give Bazza my money again if he could bring back ATP!
I’d almost certainly give you £38.50.
Remind me, were a lot of people left out of pocket by ATP? I can’t remember if people actually got their money back or not, in the end
Was more than one ATP that went belly-up wasn’t it?
I’m pretty sure a lot of people didn’t get their money back from the Jabberwocky one
If they got refunds for the events that flopped, I think it was mostly from their banks rather than ATP. Certainly was in my case.
Most of the bands never got paid so they took a hit on travel/accommodation/crew costs.
