I thought there would be a couple additions but that’s a big un!

Should be one more big un for Weekend 1 shouldn’t there and all?

Sad to miss this Weekend 1 but very happy to know they’ll be around next summer

Maybe yeah. My money is on Iggy Pop

Won’t be seeing them here but Phoenix doing early evening at All Points East will be superb fun.

There’s now five headliners for the last day of weekend 2.

Wonder if they could also be added to Porto on the Saturday

Primavera has always been like that. There’s no set number of headliners on any particular day, and no particular order of working up to headliners in the programme, unlike other big festivals

Yeah of course, very much aware of this but it’s interesting considering those who said the last day was weak for headliners.

Ah wasn’t aware of that discussion, but guess they’ve gone for slightly less expensive mid-sized names on that day to sell day tickets rather than any big one? Same on the last day of Weekend 2. Plus Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Phoenix don’t really feel like headliners in 2022 idk

Ah, just seen they’re playing on the Saturday in Barcelona. Shame.

Yeah agreed.

Same on the last day of *Weekend 1, obviously.

On the Primavera stage or whatever it is called now they might.

Primavera does have bands like this in the mix though, that’s why it is so enjoyable. Why WOULDN’T they be headliners??

Last tickets for weekend 2 apparently….

The Phoenix Effect! :fire: :bird: :fire:

I’m surprised - didn’t realise they were THAT much of a big deal. Glad for PS though - must be tough for them (and other fests) to skip 2 years.

I only know the Phoenix song that was in Lost in Translation, seem to be one of those Primavera bands that pass me by completely (see also Tame Impala)

Yeah I was saying it half sarcastically. My only real tangible judgement of how Phoenix are is with their (apparently) very empty John Peel headline set at Glastonbury a few years ago.

Big in Europe perhaps!
