Lots of people saying yesterday was one of the stages of the year. Think Pinot ought to do well, but is often let down by expectation. He has a good team around him, and does a good job in week long stages. That field is absolutely stacked though.
Yes, I think the ‘when will a Frenchman win the tour’ pressure is a lot for him to take and he’s made it clear that he doesn’t enjoy the Tour but he did look in great form yesterday and unlike previous years hasn’t done the Giro. Seems to be getting stronger as he gets older though, loved the two stages he won at the vuelta.
You’re right about that field though. Stacked to the max.
Glad to see Chris Froome looking good and on form.
Was really worried about him from the stresses of the salbutamol case, obviously
he’s crashed and abandoned doing a course recon today
getting taken to hospital, which doesn’t sound good

good news for ASO and the tour I guess
Pretty much all cycling media outlets are reporting a broken pelvis
Ouch.
poor bri
oof. Good news for Geraint ‘the G man’ GG Thomas I gguess.
still haven’t managed to bring myself to read the Ned Boulting book someone bought me yet.
conversely, everyone should buy this when it’s released in november

not sure i’ve been this excited about a book for years
Crash Froome
Wonder why he finds it so hard to actually stay on his bike during TT reckons
because he’s shit at the riding a bike part of being a pro cyclist
Indeed.
He’s really good at the being media trained and giving really boring and bland interivews bit of it though.
Still, good news for, well, pretty much everyone else in the peloton though. Would LOVE to see any team other than Ineos with the tour.
now reading it’s a broken femur, but sounds like he’s defo out the tour either way
Aye, Brailsford confirmed.
I feel quite excited about the Tour now. Which is unusual! Can’t see Thomas doing it again. Anyone want to take a stab at the podium?
I’m sure Valverde will be happy with 3rd
