They said the women did

Can confirm that riders are mostly on zoom chats with each other and a DS

don’t a lot of them live in andorra and the southern alps? they’re gonna have some shit wifi

this stage is a lot more interesting

I like it when the rider who has the aero power up at the end always wins

Froome Sacked! (at the end of the season)

he should defiinitely retire, I bet he doesn’t.

he’s off to israel start up nation apparently

annoying the tour’s cancelled this year. was wanting to see how he would do on only one leg.

Sky are completely ruthless aren’t they? Despite him winning them 7 grand tours there’s no sentimentality about the fact he’s surplus to requirements. I’m no fan of Froome, but feel like they could have been a bit more loyal.

Or do we think he’s the driving force behind the move?

Dan Martin as his super-domestique? Should go down well.

bit of both isnt it. got a strong roster of riders. he cant be number 1 and doesnt want to be number 2

i would imagine it’s fairly mutual. like if he was willing to fall into domestique / road captain duties i’m sure they would have kept him on, but he probably thinks he still has a shot at wining GC

forgot they had Carapaz as well

Yeah, I think he does have a shot. He’s more ruthless than most of the other contenders, although Bernal and Carapaz are showing tendencies.

Plus frees up a massive budget for squad depth and talent development

Ah, the end of an era.

He definitely won’t be retiring though will he? He doesn’t seem the sort.

Imagine the resources Ineos could now reinvest in young domestic British talent.

Imagine how they’ll actually go out and squid up Evenepoel, Roglic and Fuglsang.

Interesting how all the GC contenders are getting packed into a small number of teams. It’s going to get pretty Darwinian in Jumbo and Ineos. Should create opportunities for smaller teams to pick up disgruntled riders.

Won’t have the support riders though. Israel is a shout as they have deep enough pockets to recruit domestiques if Froome is a serious GC threat, but most other teams could sign a Marquee rider and offer no support for them.
